good food, great friends...

Our friends Chuck and Julie came up to SLC from Provo last night. The boys went fishing and we went shopping. Then we met at LoneStar for some amazing food, as always.
Grateful for good friends.

Over the weekend..

Hi! How was your weekend?
We spent ours in my favorite place in the world, Lake Powell.
Although Josh is studying for a BIG test coming up at the end of November, he was still willing to come and study there while we played. What a good husband! It was so nice to relax with a book, get our water-sports on, have jumping competitions at the sand hill, and hang with some of the family. It made us all wish that ALL of the family lived close. We love family.
Anyway, it was really sad to sat goodbye until next year. I miss summer already.

My little sister has been staying at our house. I have been reminded of how early middle school is.
Yesterday I drove her to my mom's house to let the dogs out. Meanwhile my car decided to not turn back on. Desperate, and not being able to find keys to other cars, we jumped on a scooter.
It was so chilly...but she made it to school with out being too late! I couldn't reach Josh so I ended up driving it back to my house, frozen.

Office: finished! (Well, almost)

Josh and I painted our office and moved things in yesterday. I can't believe how fast it was.
Most of the walls in our house are cream, but with what I think is a pink tint. That little tint bugs me so much! We decided on a light grey for the office and are really pleased with the turn out.
I didn't realize how many books we have...and this isn't half of them!
Here are some detail pictures of the office.
(Please excuse the crooked picture over the record player..whoops!)

We really missed our baby.

Even if she does this to our yard.

The people who watched her for the last week said she dug up their garden. Whoops!

Can't help but love her anyway.

My husband & his home.

Josh is the strongest person I know.

The amount of love his body is able to possess is incomparable. He cares so much. He loves his family more than anything in the world and would do anything for them. He is so so good to me, even in the hardest of times. He is friendly to everybody and makes them feel instantly welcome. He hurts for others and feels so much compassion toward them. Josh has the ability to light up the room everywhere he goes. He is such an example to me of strength and selfless love.

Josh, I cannot imagine what your body and mind are feeling. As much as I try to get in there and understand, I cannot entirely relate. Thank you for coming to me and letting me be your comfort. You have always been the strong one in the relationship but now it's my turn.

I wish I could figure out a way to bring the ocean and El Pollo Norteno to you everyday.

I love you...and am here always.

On Thursday of last week my husband's brother Jared decided to take his own life. Having lost a niece a year ago as well, this is a very difficult and confusing time.
Jared was so incredibly loved and admired by everybody and will be missed.

There is a Memorial Fund set up for his wife Tamra, if you feel inclined to make a contribution:

By PayPal:

Check: Jared Jones Memorial Fund, USAA Federal Savings Bank, 10750 McDermott Freeway, San Antonio, TX 78284. "For deposit only -- Account #130064823" should be written on the backs of checks.

Wire transfer: use account #130064823 & USAA routing number 314074269
There are so many people in this world who bottle their emotions. Never stop seeking to understand people and love them.

Please give your family members or friends a big hug for us.

Bethany's clothing

Josh's friend Bethany (and now my friend too) from California asked if I could model some of her clothing that she sews for her portfolio. She is so talented! Here are a few of the pictures..
