On Thursday of last week my husband's brother Jared decided to take his own life. Having lost a niece a year ago as well, this is a very difficult and confusing time.
Jared was so incredibly loved and admired by everybody and will be missed.
There is a Memorial Fund set up for his wife Tamra, if you feel inclined to make a contribution:
Check: Jared Jones Memorial Fund, USAA Federal Savings Bank, 10750 McDermott Freeway, San Antonio, TX 78284. "For deposit only -- Account #130064823" should be written on the backs of checks.
Wire transfer: use account #130064823 & USAA routing number 314074269
There are so many people in this world who bottle their emotions. Never stop seeking to understand people and love them.
Please give your family members or friends a big hug for us.
i know i do not know you or your husband, but i just wanted to let you know that whoever comes across this post will be sending prayers to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThis is Lauren Van Oostendorp (now Waldram)and I hope you don't mind but I found your blog through Bethany's. I just want to say how terribly sorry I am, I couldn't imagine losing someone so close (and what can be closer than two brothers?). I didn't know Jared that well, I don't even know if I ever had a conversation with him but he did leave an impression on me. I remember him from jr. high school. I think he won "Most Unique" and I admired that so much. I was such an awkward/insecure 7th grader and I couldn't imagine having enough courage to just be myself even if I was different. I really looked up to him!
ReplyDeletePlease know that you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you guys, I live close to SLC.
Lauren
P.S. I don't know much about your childhood, but it seems like you and Jared were as close as ever and I hope one day my two boys can have that as well!
