Home Remodel:
We are just about finished painting our house, which leaves countertops, sink, faucet, backsplash, and some light fixtures left! We are so close, but it still feels SO far away. I daydream about cooking in my own kitchen and actually moving my kitchen stuff in all day. My pots and pans that my brother gave me as a wedding gift are still in the box! I am DYING to finally break them out.
I will post before and after pictures that will possibly blow your mind. This home has been completely transformed and I am so in love with how it is turning out!
Well, I feel more and more pregnant every day…mostly from looking in the mirror or down at my belly. I am so happy to say that I am no longer sick. I still have off nights here and there, but over all I am so so much better. I feel the baby moving all the time now!! Josh feels him too almost every night. I think he senses Josh because he almost immediately starts moving when he puts his hand or head on my belly. I basically want to eat fruit and drink coke zero all day. My doctor said a few cokes a week should be fine, so hopefully he's right! It really helps with the exhaustion. It still doesn't feel real sometimes that I have a child inside me. I still don't believe that we are going to be parents in just a few short months!

California trip

We made a little trip down to California. It was mainly a business trip for Josh, but we made sure to have fun as well. Being Josh's hometown area, most of his family still lives there, so we were able to spend some quality time with them, along with my little sister flying in to hang out for the weekend as well!
We ate a lot of yummy food, did some "girlie" stuff (shopped, nails, etc), showed Mattie around Santa Monica Pier and gave her the full Venice beach experience (including toe rings and henna tattoos!). Josh even introduced her to his favorite Mexican burrito in all the land, and took her to "his" beach.
It was so much fun spending time with everyone…we love California.

happy valentines day & past the half way mark!

The only sad part about today being Valentines day is that the heart shaped candy and pink and red decorations start dwindling after today. Who doesn't love February for that reason alone?
Anyway, I have a pretty handsome Valentine. I am a pretty lucky girl.
We leave tomorrow for CA, so we will be celebrating there hopefully on the beach with the sun on my face!
This is BIG…no, not just my stomach...I made it past 20 weeks!! I feel like time has actually starting moving now! And guess what? I feel the baby now! I thought the day would never come, but sure enough I feel those little pinch/flutters every once in awhile & there isn't a better feeling. I'm excited for Josh to be able to experience it with me!
I am feeling so so much better, although I have had a couple weird out-of-nowhere throw ups (like at a movie with friends last weekend). Lovely, right? We have another ultrasound tomorrow & I couldn't be more excited to see our little guy again.
I thought my belly "popped before" but I think it happened again, because now there is absolutely no chance of hiding it at all. I am trying to embrace it, but it is actually really hard for me. It is really strange to not feel very in control of my body. But, I know our little boy is in there trying to grow & it is a beautiful thing.

remodel update.

My darling papa and uncle came to town to work on our house. We are so lucky to have their full attention for a couple weeks to get this project done! We refer to my uncle as the ultimate "man" and he has definitely lived up to it with all of the crazy projects we are having him do.

We have torn down a baring wall in between our kitchen and living room, tore out our entire kitchen and all the carpet/tile upstairs, moved around duct work and electrical, added some new walls, matched wood and installed it, painted the babies room, and A LOT MORE. We still have a lot of work left, but it is coming along and I get more and more excited everyday to be able to actually fully move into this house and really make it our own.

birthday dinner with friends...

I am so grateful for all of my friends! They are the best. Some of us went to Trio the night before my birthday to celebrate...
