Bike ride to breakfast

Yesterday morning my mom called me and said her and my sister were outside my house on their bikes. I ran out to join them and we biked to Millcreek Inn for breakfast!
Reaffirmed AGAIN how glad I am that we chose to live where we do. It is so nice being so close to family!

Summer baseball!

Josh decided to join the church baseball team. We walked over to the field with Nora and the second the balls started flying, she was SO excited. It took quite a bit of my strength to hold her back from running onto the field. I finally had to pin her in between my knees! It was pretty cute, but sad because I wanted to let her go play with Josh. Anyway, I love this time of year. Summer nights are so great, especially with my husband and our pup.

A little summer obsession

We cannot stop eating cherries around here. Josh and I ate a whole bag yesterday and I have been craving more all morning. I think I need to go buy some now!

Jayme's birthday dinner

For one of Jayme's birthday celebrations, we went to dinner at Mikado with some High School (some not High School) friends. It was so fun to see everyone!

I am so proud of Jayme for the woman she has become. I honestly could not come up with one bad or negative thing to say about her. I always tell people that she literally is the nicest person I know, and it is true! What you see is what you get with Jayme; she is extremely real and honest. Everyone who comes in her path absolutely loves her because she is so friendly and lively. She can make anyone smile and will be their friend, no matter what.

Jayme, I am so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you for being such a kind, accepting, hilarious, uplifting friend. Thank you so much for staying in Utah, so we can continue making memories together! (You better never leave...unless I do!)

Swim day with V

Thank you mom & dad for having a pool/beautiful yard to enhance my summer quite a bit!

Just watching a movie together.

I know Joe, we are pitiful.

Camping!

This past weekend we headed up American Fork Canyon to go camping. It is likely that Josh really wanted to go so we could introduce Nora. She absolutely loved it...she is so made for the outdoors. I don't know how much Kelsen (our nephew) liked it though, because Nora took his seat and wouldn't move, so he had to sit on a cooler! Then he became the personal chew tow picker-uper as she wouldn't get off her seat when her toy dropped. One of the many reasons we call her Princess Nora...

You know what's pretty great about our neighborhood?

We live very very close to a dog park.
The other day, Josh and I wanted to go on a bike ride/run, and take Nora.
Because she is not suppose to run yet, because of her age, Josh came up with the brilliant idea of sticking her in a backpack!
He started running and after about three minutes of her head bopping up and down, I got a little nervous.
So, I held her on my back while I rode...a MUCH better idea. Nora actually loved it! After a while, she rested her chin on my shoulder.

A proud moment.

I hate insects more than anything. Yes, more than sharks, more than bears, more than snakes.
When I saw Ms. Nora playing with a peculiar little creature (in my living room!) I started over to grab it, until I realized what it was. Against my better judgement, I convinced myself to get it away from her by PICKING IT UP. Yeah, so what if it was dead, I still hate them. Anyway, I had to yell to Josh to come witness the miracle. He was pretty proud.

Nuch's dinner date

I know I keep saying this over and over again, but I LOVE having more family in town. I wish everyone would just move here already! Chels, Rob, and of course little Luke went to dinner at Nuch's with us last night. It is so fun going out with them and having some time to talk without their kids all over the place (even though we love them to death)!
THANK YOU Chels and Rob for making such a wise decision and moving to Utah!

Art class

I drove up to Park City the other day with my sister for her kid's art class that her friend (and photographer) Allison teaches. It was adorable! She taught the kids a little about Vincent Van Gough, then let them make their own version of "Starry Starry Night" using shaving cream and water colors. It was such a unique and cool project!

Nora goes for a ride!

Josh and I had a craving to go scootering last night. We don't really like to leave Nora out, so Josh single-handedly (literally!) rode with her on his lap! I am pretty sure she sat very, very still. It was so cute!

Awww...summer...

I am 100% a summer girl. I have felt such a boost in energy the last couple of days with the amazing weather and vibes around the neighborhood. I love seeing kids everywhere on their bikes and the snow cone shacks overflowing with people! I also LOVE having my sister and her kids living here and swimming with them at my parent's house.

A glimpse of our future

Josh and I took Nora to the dog park last night. We ran into two fully grown Vizslas there who were insane! They ran around, knocking other dogs over (and almost me), jumped in and out of the water like it was nothing, and did not stop, not even for one second. We have a theory that Nora feels more comfortable with her own kind because something happened in her brain that apparently made her think she was old enough to keep up with them and she didn't stop either, only getting trampled a couple of times.
Eyes wide, I kept looking at Josh like "did you know what we were in for?!" He assured me that he did and talks multiply times a day about how excited he is to exercise with her when she's big enough. Seeing as how she needs at the very least two hours of exercising a day, this might be a way to keep us both quite in shape.

More Nora..

I have a feeling you're gonna hear a lot about our doggie for a while.
She LOVES to cuddle more than anything. We took a nap with her yesterday and I'm pretty sure she was in heaven. When we got up, we tried moving the blanket, but she would not get up. Josh dragged her around our basement for a while, just laughing.
Today was our first "real life" day with her (meaning not the weekend) and because I had a test and some other things going on, Josh took her to work with him! He really appreciated all the help I'm sure she was...hehe.
